Wolverhampton Bladder Cancer Support Group is a non profit making organisation, formed to provide information, advice and support to members of the local community affected by bladder cancer, including patients, carers, family and friends.
Members are invited by Urology Department at New Cross Hospital. The group is one of only a handful nationwide dedicated to bladder cancer sufferers in the UK.
Group meetings are generally held every two months and are attended by Urology Advanced Nurse Practitioners Jenny Akins, Helen Heap and others from New Cross Hospital and feature talks given by medical professionals on varied subjects related to bladder cancer.
The meetings are followed by a cup of tea and the opportunity for a sociable chat with fellow sufferers, and the nurses if you feel the need. We are sure you will find the meetings informative and you will be made welcome.
