Mountaineer Jeepers will be joining Jim Maurin and his crew, SWPA Jeep Brigade out of Bentleyville, PA on the trails at Wolf Den, Saturday, July 11, 2026.
We will be doing a convoy starting at the Sheetz located in Romney, WV https://maps.app.goo.gl/68D84bD37mjK7qqE9
meeting at 8:00 a.m. and leaving approximately at 8:30 a.m. From here we will head towards Wolf Den Run State Park in Kitzmiller, MD. We will stop at a gas station near the park for last minute fuel. We will be meeting SWPA Jeep Brigade at the Ranger Station located at 1699 Upperman Rd, Oakland, MD 21550. That is where you must purchase a day pass. Maryland residents are $10.00 and out of state residents are $12.00. You can purchase your passes online https://dnr.maryland.gov/publiclands/pages/western/wolf-den-run.aspx via phone in the mentioned link or the day of the ride at the ranger station.
On this trail, it is strongly suggested you have a modified rig. Trails range from Green, Blue to Black. All varied color trails will be navigated. It is a trail you will put your skid plates to good use and receive some trail trophies aka pinstriping. This trail is a BOH trail. To receive your badge, which will be mailed to you by Jeep, you must download the app from your phone and check in at the ranger station the day of the event.
