3 Creative Writing Workshops for Moulsecoomb residentsThis writing course supports Moulsecoomb Estate residents by exploring the estate’s ecological, historical, and fantastical aspects. With Thresholds we’ll explore our relationships between the South Downs and the Moulsecoomb estate and how our lived experience has been altered by different boundaries and thresholds, environmental, psyco-social, financial, racial. For Changing Chalk, we’ll use the chalk pathways, barrows and geology as bases to explore our writing in ancestral and mythical realms. In Fantastic Moulsecoomb, we’ll tap into the speculative genre, exploring writing new futures for ourselves, utopia, diastolic, social and environmental orders.
The workshops include readings from Georgina’s “The Doves of Moulsecoomb,” themed writing sessions, outdoor prompts, and learning about the estate’s history and ecology.
