The Police Academy and The Sting Operation present a theatre show like no other. STINGchronicity: The Story of Sting & The Police tells the story of Sting’s career—starting with the early days of The Police, charting their rise and fall, through to Sting’s highly successful solo period in the ’80s and ’90s, and The Police’s eventual reunion in 2007. Designed specifically for theatres, this show includes multiple costume changes as well as video interludes, for a fully immersive experience.The band have applied their customary attention to detail to recreating the sights and sounds of key stages in Sting’s career, from the musical arrangements to the costumes, instruments and stagecraft—and as always, the voice. Bringing to theatres the authenticity that has given The Police Academy and The Sting Operation such acclaim, this is a show not to be missed.
The Police Academy have been performing together since 2010, and have been wowing audiences with their supremely authentic reproductions of the work of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland for well over a decade. Taking that same passion and dedication, and applying it to the sophisticated jazz-tinged pop/rock of Sting’s solo career led to the birth of The Sting Operation in 2012. STINGchronicity: The Story of Sting & The Police represents the culmination of both projects, and is an absolute must—whether you’re a casual fan or an aficionado of the music of Sting and The Police.
