we ride at 6:30pm, be there before 6:15 pm. We ride every week, don't let the weather scare you away, worst case we socialize with drinks early.WNY Bikes has teamed up with 42 North Brewery to host our free community group bikes rides on Tuesday nights for 2024!!!!! Nothing Better than Bikes, Friends and Brews. Tuesday Evenings Starting May 14th 2024. The rides are open to everyone who enjoys riding bikes no matter where you are from, how old you are or what type of bike you ride as long as you are able to ride 10 miles at 10 - 12 mph. If you are unsure if you are able to then download the app either Ride with GPS or Map my Ride and take a ride. Also if you have join the large Monday evening group rides then you can handle ours.
The rides will take off from 42 North Brewery at 6:30PM sharp. Please arrive at least 15 min earlier. The Rides will be about 10 miles and around 10-12 MPH. After each ride we are then welcome to gather, socialize and enjoy drinks & food at 42 North Brewery.
42 North Brewery is a local East Aurora Brewery With a large selection of Brews and foods come, socialize and make friends.
Please make sure your bike is in full working order prior to arrival.
Group Ride Rules:
1) Prior to the ride the ride leader will be identified. you are required to stay behind the ride leader or leaders at all times unless you are part of ride support. if you are not part of ride support and in front of the ride leader you are no longer part of the ride.
2) All rides are ride at your own risk. We will have a waiver to sign for the season at the rides.
3)Ride support crew will be in Blue West Seneca Bikes Shirts or Yellow Slow Spokes Crew Shirts. You must follow the directions of the ride support crew to make sure we all have a safe enjoyable ride.
4)Communication is Key!!! Yelling "CAR UP" if an oncoming care is coming opposite direction, Yelling "CAR BACK" tells everyone a car is coming up behind us. This is important so all riders are aware and we avoid accidents.
5)Helmets are highly encouraged
6)no headphones or AirPod like devices, all music must be at a personal level to hear communication and vehicles.
7) Have Fun and Make Friends.
NEW YORK STATE BIKE LAWS!!
1) All riders must ride as far right of the road to allow cars to pass
2)On all Main and Secondary Roads no more than 2 riders next to each other. unless passing on the left.
3)All Bikes must be equipped with working brakes
4) From Sunset to Sunrise all bikes must be equipped with reflectors and Bike Lights
5) use of more than one earphone are illegal.
6) ages 15 and under are required to wear a bike helmet
