Aerovec, a Buffalo based start-up company plans to create a $100M business in the Distributed Wind Energy space within a decade, delivering an operating margin of at least 12%.

Aerovec is designing a wind turbine with a unique patented compact rotor, that can more effectively convert the kinetic energy in the wind into useful electrical energy.

They are focused on the Distributed Energy market. Energy is generated at the point-of-use and addresses critical energy security needs. Integration with solar and storage creates a reliable solution for sites vulnerable to supply disruptions.

There’s high demand in temporary power markets. Aerovec’s focus on portable wind solutions essentially competes with the $10+Billion diesel generator rental market. They’re attracting attention from the US Department of Defense and National Rental companies seeking portable energy solutions in temporary locations.

The founding team of 5 individuals brings diverse expertise in wind energy, industrial manufacturing, global business development and start-up businesses.

Aerovec installed its first wind turbine prototype in June 2024. The functioning, performance and design options of this wind turbine are being assessed.

The Adventure Nexus is a web-based platform and community hub designed for tabletop game (TTG) enthusiasts, both players and Game Masters (GMs).

It fosters connections and facilitates scheduling and safe execution of games across a diverse range of tabletop experiences. From role-playing games (RPGs) like the timeless Dungeons & Dragons to newer titles, trading card games (TCGs) like Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, and Lorcana, strategy board games like Settlers of Catan, and even miniature wargames like Warhammer 40k, The Adventure Nexus caters to a wide range of interests.

Currently in beta in the greater Buffalo-Rochester-Syracuse area, the app has more than 350 individuals, 13 game stores, and one gaming convention using it today.
