About this Event

Wizardry in Wood 2025 presents beautiful and amazing works demonstrating their makers’ mastery of the art and craft of woodturning.

  • Works by over 30 leading contemporary turners
  • Meet the makers ...
  • View, Love, Buy their work
  • Live demonstrations of the craft will be held every day
  • Private Collections on show for the first time
  • Short talks (see section 3 below for schedule)
  • Entries and winners of the Turners' Company 2025 Competitions;
  • The Competitions Prize Giving will be at 3pm on Friday 31 October

Wizardry in Wood is held in the spectacular Plaisterers' Hall in the heart of the City of London. More information is available on Company's website: Wizardry in Wood.



1 - EARLY-BIRD TICKETS

Single ticket with donation: £15.00

Double ticket for two people with donation £25.00

These prices include an optional 10% donation to the Turners' Company Charity. Tickets without the donation are £13.60 (Single) and £22.70 (Double). These are the actual prices you pay as there are no additional Eventbrite booking fees.

Three tickets: please order one Single and one Double ticket.

To order more than three tickets with the donation, please make additional orders. (This is to meet the requirements of the HMRC Gift Aid scheme and the ticketing system.)

To order between four and six tickets (the maximum in one order) see section 5 below on Multiple Tickets.

Student tickets are free of charge (see section 6 below).

Group Tickets are for groups of ten or more. See section 4 below for details.



2 - ORDERING YOUR TICKET/S - IN 5 STEPS

Step 1 - At the top of this screen click the red GET TICKETS box.

Step 2 - Select your Single / Double tickets and click the red CHECK OUT box.

Step 3 - On the Billing Information page, provide your name & email. Select your payment method. Provide payment details. Scroll down and click the red PLACE ORDER box.

When your payment has been processed, the ‘Order Successful’ message will briefly appear. [Please note: this message is not the end of the ordering process.]

Step 4 - Your organiser needs more information page appears. The first two questions must be answered to complete your order:

1: Provide your home address.

2: Select the day of your visit, then the available arrival times will appear (see section 3 below). Select one.

Please Note: These choices will NOT be shown on your PDF or digital ticket/s.

3: If you have purchased one or more tickets with a donation, the next question about your UK tax status will help us determine our ability to claim Gift Aid.

4: If you are part of a group visit, please provide the name (optional question).

5: The last question asks how you heard about Wizardry in Wood 2025.

Click the red COMPLETE ORDER box.

Step 5 - The ‘Thanks for your Order’ message will appear.

With the option to click the blue TAKE ME TO MY TICKETS box.



3 - DAY AND TIME OF YOUR VISIT

Each day the exhibition opens at 10am. The exhibition closes at 4pm on Tuesday 28, Thursday 30 and Friday 31 October and 7pm on Wednesday 29 October.

The arrival times on Tuesday 28, Thursday 30 and Friday 31 October are:

  • Morning (arrive 10am - 12 noon)
  • Lunchtime (arrive 12 noon - 2pm)
  • Afternoon (arrive 2pm - 3pm: exhibition closes at 4pm)

On Wednesday 29 October, the exhibition is also open in the evening:

  • Morning (arrive 10am - 12 noon)
  • Lunchtime (arrive 12 noon - 2pm)
  • Afternoon (arrive 2pm - 4pm)
  • Evening (arrive 4pm - 6pm: exhibition closes at 7pm)

There is no time limit on how long you can spend at the exhibition and re-entry passes are available so that you can leave Wizardry in Wood and return later the same day.

LATE ARRIVAL: If you arrive outside the time you have selected or on another day we will endeavour to admit you to the exhibition as quickly as possible, but you may have to wait a short time depending on the total number of visitors.



4 - GROUP VISITS

The package for groups of up of ten includes:

  • Exclusive Introductory Guided Tour of around 30 minutes to Wizardry in Wood.
  • Reserved seating at one of the Talks (see section 3 above)
  • Flexible entry time and re-entry on the day of your group’s visit.
  • Simplified ticketing through Eventbrite. This allows your members of a group to book their own tickets when it suits them: at Early-Bird prices to 31 August; and Standard prices from 1 September.
  • When buying their tickets, members should provide the name of their group in response to the optional Group Question.
  • At Plaisterers' hall, groups larger than ten can be accommodated by splitting into smaller groups for the Guided Tour and talks.

5 - MULTIPLE TICKETS (ordering 4-6)

To meet the requirements of the HMRC Gift Aid scheme and the ticketing system, only one of each ticket type can be selected in the same order.

This is how to pay for tickets for between four and six people in the same order:

FOUR people:

  • Select one Double ticket with donation (S2)
  • AND one Double ticket without donation (S4)

FIVE people:

  • Select one Double ticket with donation (S2)
  • AND one Double ticket without donation (S4)
  • AND one Single ticket - with (S1) or without donation (S3).

SIX people

  • Select one Double ticket with donation (S2)
  • AND one Double ticket without donation (S4)
  • AND one Single ticket with donation (S1)
  • AND one Single ticket without donation (S3)



6 - MORE ABOUT ORDERING TICKETS

STUDENT TICKETS are free of charge for full and part-time students of all ages who have a 2025/26 Student Card. Use the Promo Code STUDENT25 to access your Student ticket.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE of 15 years and younger are also free of charge. It is not necessary to book a ticket in advance but they must be accompanied by an adult (18 years and older).

OPTIONAL DONATION: The Standard Single (£15) and Standard Double (£25) ticket prices include an optional 10% donation to the Turners' Company Charity, which will enable it to claim Gift Aid on up to the full price of the ticket if you are a UK tax payer.

Even if you are not a UK tax payer our Charity would still appreciate this donation!

Tickets excluding the Optional Donation are also available: The Standard Single (£13.60) and Double Standard (£22.70) ticket prices are listed 3rd and 4th in the TICKETS selection panel.



7 - WHEN YOU HAVE ORDERED YOUR TICKET/S

CHANGING TICKET: If for any reason you need to change the day or time of your ticket please email Rebecca Baker: [email protected] with your name and/or Order Number. Tickets can be changed subject to availability and currently there are no restrictions.

REFUNDS: If you need to cancel your ticket/s entirely before your booked arrival day/time this can only be done through Eventbrite.

RE-ENTRY passes: There are catering facilities at Plaisterers' Hall and many cafes and restaurants nearby. If you wish to return later the same day to Wizardry in Wood please retain your ticket and ask for a RE-ENTRY PASS before you leave the exhibition.

LOST TICKET? If you have lost your printed ticket please bring the information you have about your order and we will manually register your entry to the exhibition.



8 - ARRIVING AT PLAISTERERS' HALL

CLOAKROOM: Please deposit outdoor coats, rucksacks and large bags in the cloakroom as these are not allowed in the exhibition. The cloakroom is free and in the lobby area.

CATERING FACILITES: Teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks will be available to purchase inside the Hall.

TRAVEL to Plaisterers’ Hall is best undertaken by public transport.

PARKING is not permitted in the immediate vicinity and there are multiple parking, route and junction restrictions in the wider area. Plaisterers’ Hall is in both the London-wide ULEZ zone and the smaller inner-London Congestion Zone.

ACCESS: Wheeled access to Plaisterers’ Hall is via a lift just through the main entrance. The exhibition is entirely on the ground floor.



9 - WIZARDRY IN WOOD 2025

This will be the sixth exhibition held by the Worshipful Company of Turners to showcase the work of outstanding UK and international craftsmen. Wizardry in Wood was launched by the Turners’ Company in 2004 on the 400th anniversary of the granting of the Company’s Royal Charter in 1604.
