What does it mean to witness—not simply to see, but to remember, carry, and decide what we will do with what we know?

Join filmmaker, artist, and Mississippi2 founder Talamieka Brice for the Mississippi premiere of WITNESS, an experimental documentary and visual essay exploring art, memory, family, place, history, and the responsibility of bearing witness.

Following the approximately 20-minute film, Brice will lead a community conversation around the questions at its heart: Who gets remembered? What happens when stories disappear? What have we witnessed in our own families and communities? And once we know—what is ours to do?

The evening takes place at Jackson’s historic Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center, creating a powerful setting for film, Black memory, Mississippi history, and community.
