With Love

THE STORY

Lạc Hồng Performing Arts Group presents “With Love”: a night of traditional music, dance, and a celebration of culture. Set during the golden age, this cultural production is presented through a vintage radio to tell a coming-of-age story. Delving into the past, callers from the present-day dial in with a radio host speaking from 70s Vietnam. Callers are granted the opportunity to receive advice for their struggles with love, discovering a universal connection between worlds. Even though we may be separated by our identities and experiences from our younger selves, the notions of affection and love tie us conjointly.

At the heart of this show, we explore self, culture, family, home, and underneath, through, and above it all, love.

ABOUT US

Lạc Hồng was formed in 1988 by Professors Châu Nguyễn and Mai Nguyễn, right in the heart of Little Saigon, CA. We are a non-profit organization that specializes in presentation of traditional Vietnamese instrumental music, vocal music and dance and have traveled all over the country to showcase our art through performance and educational workshops. Our students and educators at Lạc Hồng Performing Arts Group hope to preserve, develop and reinvent traditional Vietnamese arts outside of Vietnam– blending a new way of life as Asian-Americans while maintaining our cultural roots.

Our program offers 2 types of tickets: $10 general admission sat on the left and right sides of the theater and tiered tickets ($25, $35, $45, $55) sat in the center column of the theater. **If you are interested in purchasing a tiered ticket, please contact us at (714) 794-9543.**
