Witches Float

Conjure up your best costume spell and come dressed ready to laugh and cackle your way down the river. The Witches Float on the Ocmulgee River is back for 2026! Ditch your broomsticks for paddles and bring your non-motorized vessel. Don't own one? No problem! You can rent from one at the float from Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions.
💜Check in is from 12:00-1:00 PM at the North end of the park at Jay Hall Memorial Canoe Launch. After raffle winners are drawn, will begin launching witches, wizards, and warlocks on to the river where we will enchant the water as we float Macon's river-bend. The Shuttle will transport you back to your vehicles at the end of your float. The last shuttle will depart at 4:30 and you must be off the water with a rental boat by then (plenty of extra time for that stretch of river!)

🎟️Buy a raffle ticket or bring a feminine product donation for Macon Periods Easier the day of the event, and your name will be entered to to win spell binding prizes like a free paddle excursion from Ocmulgee Outdoor Expeditions, ($120 value)! MPE is a women led nonprofit group striving to raise awareness of period poverty in Middle Georgia among students and others in need, provide menstrual products to schools and other agencies and normalize the conversation about menstruation.
🧙‍♀️Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and decorate their flotation devices! A guest judge in attendance will select a winner for Best Dressed to win a $100 gift card presented by Visit Macon.
