WITCHES, BRITCHES, BITCHES: a Mezzo-Soprano Cabaret

NYC's newest women-led indie theater company presents WITCHES, BRITCHES, BITCHES: A Mezzo-Soprano Cabaret. This fundraiser cabaret, featuring an all-female ensemble, will be directed by Gillian Brown with musical direction from Brooke Hall and Kaitlyn LeBaron. Danielle Wu will accompany on keyboard.

It's a tale as old as time: sopranos get to be in the spotlight, playing princesses, lovers, and ingenues, while mezzo-sopranos get stuck with the witches, the britches, and...well...the bitches. But hey, mezzos aren't bad, they're just written that way. Featuring iconic character songs from the musical theater canon and some lesser-known numbers you'll soon fall in love with, the Final Girls are celebrating the power and range of the mezzo-soprano voice. After all, not everyone has what it takes to play second fiddle.

This cabaret is a FUNDRAISER EVENT. Donations from supporters like you helped us produce an almost completely sold-out run of Sarah Ruhl's In The Next Room or: The Vibrator Play, featuring an all-female cast. Continue to support women-led theatre with your ticket to this event. All proceeds will go towards Final Girls' next production, helping to pay for a performance venue, rehearsal space, costumes, props, and more.

Performance run-time will be about 75 minutes. The house will open at 7:10.

TICKET INFO: Tickets are priced on a tiered system:

• Situationship tier (what are we?): $30
• Totally Lovers tier (let's make it official): $40

ABOUT THE VENUE: The Rat NYC has a full bar featuring specialty cocktails, mocktails, beer, wine, and snacks. Full menu available here. There is one single stall restroom. Arrive early! Seats are first come, first serve.

GETTING THERE: The Rat NYC is a short walk from the York Street F stop and a 7 minute walk from the High Street A/C stop.

ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: Seating is first come first serve. The Rat NYC can accommodate up to 55 guests, but only 45 seats. If you are unable to stand for long periods, please consider arriving early to claim a seat.
