On the 250th anniversary of American Independence, hundreds of communities are hosting Wish Walls to explore visions for our nation’s future. Make your voice heard by contributing to the Wish Wall at the WisHistory Headquarters—what do you hope, dream, plan and wish for as America enters a new chapter? There’s no formal signup for participation—just head to the WisHistory headquarters lobby between June 19–July 18 and make your voice heard. We’re excited to see you there!
Wish Wall: What’s Your Wish for the U.S.? is part of the national initiative of Civic Sseason programming coordinated by Made By Us. To stay locally involved in the conversation, explore other 250th anniversary and civics-focused events, including the Democracy in Action Walking Tour and A Slice of History: Pizza with a Side of Wisconsin History.

This free event takes place at the WisHistory Headquarters located at 816 State Street, Madison, WI 53706. The Wish Wall will be located in the first-floor lobby.
All ages are welcome share their hope for the country's future as well as check out what others are contributing.
Guests who wish to contribute to the Wish Wall can visit any time between June 19–July 18 and during open hours to write a message.

Onsite parking is not available at the Wisconsin Historical Society headquarters building.
With the WisHistory building’s proximity to the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus, there is a range of UW-Madison parking available. For more information on options and rates, visit the Transportation Services page on the UW-Madison website.
The nearest UW-Madison garage to the Headquarters building is the Helen C. White Garage (600 N. Park St, Madison, WI 53706). It is approximately a 5-minute walk to the WHS Headquarters building.
City of Madison public parking options include a parking garage located at State Street Campus Garage — Frances Street (430 N Frances St, Madison, WI 53703). It is approximately a 6-minute walk to the WisHistory Headquarters.
Lastly, the City of Madison has metro transit services with stops directly next to the Wisconsin Historical Society headquarters building.
