Wise & Wild Women’s Retreat

Welcome to North Star Retreat, welcome to my home. Has your previous experience of retreats been that it's all felt a little big and overwhelming? As you navigate midlife do you find yourself preferring smaller groups to big gatherings? Then a retreat at North Stay might be just what you are looking for.
North Star is designed in a 'Scandi Seaside' style and set on a quarter acre country plot it feels like the middle of nowhere, yet we are just 7 minutes from the sea.
Who is this retreat for? This retreat is for all midlife women who just want a break. Break from the noise, break from the expectations and demands made on you by others and a break from always having to be alert. Our nervous systems were not designed to be constantly alert and this retreat is an invitation to just step out of the fast lane and relax. It's also an opportunity to be part of a small gathering of women, navigating menopause together to share ideas and find some solutions.
We gather on Friday afternoon from 4 and I will guide you through the weekend which will be a mixture of yoga, breath, meditation, sauna, swimming/cold water and delicious food. The meals are vegetarian and will include Brunch, Fika (cake and cuppa midafternoon) and Dinner.
You will be joining me in Northern Ireland and since living here I have become more connected to the Celtic Wheel than I was before. This retreat will fall at Samhein which occurs from October until mid November, a magical time for women. Did you know that Halloween is actually an Irish tradition adopted by the US? It's an auspicious time to gather in sisterhood. I will share practices and stories with you to help you live in harmony with this time. Samhein falls in Autumn, I find nowadays people seem to forget Autumn and jump straight to Winter, so this weekend is an invitation to slow down and be in the moment.
I have found ceremony and ritual have really helped with my menpause journey, especially when I felt a little disconnected from myself, my femininity. On Saturday evening we will head to the sauna for a sauna ritual to ignite the feminine.
There are two king sized bedrooms, one with luxury ensuite, the other shares it's bathroom with the twin room.
✨ Luxury King Size with ensuite ~ £495
✨ King Size with shared bathroom ~ £440
✨ Twin with shared bathroom ~ £395 (price per person)
The price includes all meals, bottomless cuppas, fruit and all activities offered at the house. We will go to the beach for a swim or beachcomb. There will be down time and if you wish to explore further, there are lots of great places and walks nearby like Mount Stewart a fabulous National Trust property, but these might incur a personal cost to you. If you fly into Belfast City or arrive by train into Bangor Northern Ireland, you will be collected from these locations. There is plenty of parking on site if you are coming by car.
To book please speak to me about room choice, once confirmed a £125 non-refundable deposit secures your space. The balance is then due 28th August and once this date comes, the balance is also non-refundable.
