Through weekly creative arts, wellness activities, and personal development groups, students will explore who they are, gain tools for resilience and self-expression, and connect with peers in ways that support long-term well-being.
Why This Age Matters
Identity Shifts: Early adolescence is when young people begin to explore who they are, while navigating big emotional and social shifts.
Mental Health Risk: Nearly half of all mental health challenges begin by age 14, making this stage a critical window for prevention and support.
Peer Influence: Between ages 8–14, friendships and peer groups strongly shape emotional and social well-being, sometimes even more than parents.
Emotional Growth: This is a pivotal time for learning emotional awareness and healthy ways to manage stress and regulate feelings.
Youth must be able to attend at least 6 out of the 8 scheduled workshops.
