About this Event

Most people are not aware that WI had POW camps during WWII and are surprised to find out that we had 38 of them housing 20,000 POWs. This presentation covers an overview of US POWs and POW camps and specific information regarding WI POW camps. The presentation tells the stories of those who were prisoners of war at a WI POW camp, those who worked alongside those POWs, and those who may have lived in a community or near a community that once housed a POW camp.
