In this wire wrapping workshop, we will unlock our creative potential by crafting unique objects from aluminum wire and stones.
About this Event

You'll learn four simple weaving techniques that build into complex, stimulating details, and how to embed stones and beads securely into your designs. Once you've mastered the techniques, you'll put them to use creating either a wand or a bracelet. Participants can also personalize their piece with their choice of stones and beads.

Quartz points, assorted gemstone beads, and aluminum wire will be provided. Feel free to bring your own stones and beads.

Who is this class for:

Anyone that likes working with their hands and small repetitive details.

Your Instructor:
I am an artist that approaches many mediums and loves working with her hands. My visual language stems from my proclivity for organic details and fluid dynamics. Wire wrapping has been an important medium in my exploration in tandem with stones and crystals. I enjoy creating small 'magical' objects with different combinations of stones, wire wrapping techniques, metals, anything to create pieces that feel alive and otherworldly but also intuitive and instinctually familiar.

This is a masks optional workshop.

As with all NYC Resistor events, this class is 18+ and governed by our Code of Conduct. The Code of Conduct, as well as accessibility information, can be found at www.nycresistor.com/participate/.
