Winterfest for Belonging: A SINGA Community Dinner

About the Event

How do we create spaces where everyone feels at home in Berlin?

For us, one of the best ways is through food. This evening is a community potluck — everyone brings a favorite dish from their culture or personal story to share with the SINGA community. Together, we’ll enjoy flavors from around the world and the conversations that come with them.

But the evening isn’t only about food. After we’ve gathered around the table, we’ll also celebrate the creativity and care that has been growing across Berlin this year. Over the past six months, SINGA has worked with a group of Belonging Builders — people with diverse migration biographies who are shaping new ways of connecting in the city. From shared meals to creative workshops, these initiatives open doors to belonging for all of us.

At this Winterfest gathering, we invite you to:

🤝 Meet key ecosystem actors — from civil society, culture, and public institutions
🍲 Share your own dish and taste others in an international potluck feast with the SINGA community

• Connect with allies working in integration, culture, inclusion, and civic engagement
• Be part of shaping the conversation: What does Berlin need for belonging now?
• Celebrate the everyday work of people who are too often under-recognized

• A dish that reflects you — from your culture, your family, or simply something you love to cook
• Enough for about 4–6 people
• A small note or label with the dish name + main ingredients (for allergies/dietary needs)
• Bring your curiosity and appetite — the joy is in sharing
