Winter Workshop: Birds of the Garden

Join us for a morning of bird discovery at Oranjezicht City Farm. Children will explore the fascinating world of birds by observing different wings, beaks, and feathers, listening for bird calls, searching for nests, and learning about the foods birds find in the garden.
Together, we'll discover how gardens can become welcoming habitats for birdlife and why birds play such an important role in healthy ecosystems.
Creative Activity: Children will make their own bird feeders using natural and recycled materials to take home and enjoy.
This hands-on workshop encourages curiosity, observation, creativity, and a deeper connection with nature.
Suitable for children. All materials provided.
Please dress for winter weather. Rain jackets, gumboots, and a change of clothes are recommended.
