About this Event
Due to the rain in Fridays’s forecast, the 10AM-12PM ice skating session is canceled. The 10AM session tickets will be honored on first come, first serve basis, during either our 2PM-4PM or 5PM-7PM session on Friday.
Ice Skating Sessions:

Glide into the holiday season at Winter Wonderland Ice Skating presented by Kaiser Permanente in Thrive City! Join us for a smooth synthetic ice skating experience in the heart of Mission Bay. Get dressed in your best holiday attire and snap a photo while enjoying a seasonal treat.
Ice skating sessions are between 20-30 minutes. Space is limited to first come first served. Eventbrite registrations will receive priority admission until capacity is reached. A limited amount of walk-ups may be available.
All ice skaters age 6 and under must be supervised at all times by their parents or guardian.
Don’t worry if you don’t have skates! Complimentary rentals (child size one through adult size 12) will be available for a $5 suggested donation to the in support of education and youth development to promote thriving students, schools and communities.
Please note that this event is weather permitting, and some ice skating sessions may be subject to cancellation based on weather conditions.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please familiarize yourself with the following rules and guidelines:
1. Skating at your own risk: By entering the rink, you acknowledge that Thrive City is not responsible for accidents. Skaters assume full responsibility for their safety while on the ice.
2. Personal belongings: Please keep your personal belongings secure. Management cannot be held responsible for any items stolen or left unattended within or near the rink or building.
3. Right to refuse entry: Management reserves the right to ask anyone to leave the ice or the building for any reason at any time.
4. Registration and waiver: Skaters must be registered and fill out a waiver to receive a wristband. Please wear your wristband at all times for visible inspection.
5. Obey skate guards: Always follow the instructions given by the skate guards. They are there to ensure your safety.
6. Supervision for young skaters: Children aged 6 and under must be supervised at all times by their parents or guardians.
7. Carrying children on ice: Skaters are not allowed to carry children while on the ice.
8. Skates required: Only individuals wearing ice skates are permitted on the ice surface.
9. No stick or puck play: Stick or puck play is not allowed on the ice.
10. Behave responsibly: Running, horseplay, and unruly behavior are strictly prohibited.
11. Skill limitations: Advanced skating maneuvers such as jumps above axel, double jumps, and camel spins are not permitted. Only basic spins are allowed.
12. No food or beverages on ice: Eating or drinking while on the ice is not permitted.
13. No distractions: Talking on cell phones or wearing headphones is not allowed while on the ice.
14. Considerate skating: Please be considerate of other skaters. Do not engage in any behavior that endangers or disrupts their safety or enjoyment.
15. Overtaking with caution: When passing other skaters, do so carefully and avoid excessive speeding or weaving through the crowd.
16. No tag or games: Engaging in tag or any kind of games on or off the ice is not permitted.
17. No throwing objects: Throwing objects of any kind is strictly prohibited.
18. Follow the direction of rink guards: While on the ice, please follow the directions provided by the rink guards.
19. Report incidents: Any malicious incidents or destruction should be immediately reported to management or the guards.
20. Skate-walking: When not on the ice, walking while wearing skates is only allowed on rubber surfaces.
21. Rental skate requirement: Socks must always be worn when using rental skates.
22. No speed skates: Speed skates are not allowed on the ice.
23. Respect the dasher boards: Skaters and spectators must not sit on, lean over, or leave any items on the dasher boards.
24. No pets allowed: Dogs or pets of any kind are prohibited on the ice.
25. No smoking: Smoking is prohibited on the ice and within Thrive City.
26. Alcohol and Substance-Free: The ice rink is an alcohol and substance-free environment. Consumption or possession of alcohol or illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
27. Clear exits: Please ensure that the exit is always clear for easy evacuation if needed.
28. Exercise caution: Use caution when entering and exiting the ice surface.
29. Report Hazards: If you notice any hazardous conditions or equipment issues, promptly inform the rink staff. This helps maintain a safe environment for all participants.
Lastly, please be aware that the ice surface at Thrive City is synthetic and may not resemble real ice. Watch out for uneven spots, rough edges, or other hazards. Always skate according to the prevailing conditions and follow the advice of the rink guards.
Prohibited Items & Activities at Thrive City:
- No weapons of any kind
- No alcohol brought onto the plaza
- All pets* on a leash
- No coolers
- No lawn chairs
- Non-surgical masks will not be allowed; guests must be easily identifiable. Limited face paint will be accepted.
- No panhandling, solicitation, or loitering
- No smoking of any kind
- No amplified sound
- No drones
- No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or scooters (bicycles can be locked at any rack on the street around the venue)
- No motorized vehicles
- No pamphlets or product samples
- No overnight camping
- No tents
- All garbage, bottles, cans, paper, or other waste matter should be placed in designated trash and recycling receptacles
- No trespassing when Thrive City is closed
- Any other prohibited items, activity, or behaviors deemed unsafe or unacceptable by Chase Center Management
*Trained service animals are welcome on Thrive City, provided they remain on a leash, tether or in a harness at all times unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the person’s disability prevents use of these devices. A guest whose service animal poses a threat to the safety of other Thrive City guests or Team Members, may be asked to escort the animal(s) off the premises.
