Winter Walk is a one-mile, guided tour through the nature park led by members of the Texas Master Naturalists, Indian Trail Chapter of Ellis and Navarro Counties. Mayor Justin Coffman plays host at this event, which showcases the beauty of the Texas landscape in winter. In addition to learning about the park’s plants, trees, and wildlife, the event includes a craft activity for youngsters, refreshments, souvenirs, and free prize drawings.
Dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. All ages are welcome but be aware that paths are natural surface.
Free and open to the public, this event is sponsored by Methodist Midlothian Medical Center and Higginbotham Brother's Ace Hardware. Registration is requested at https://www.midlothian.tx.us/530/Winter-Walk. In case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed to February 22.
No tickets will be issued for this event and there are no vendor opportunities. Anyone soliciting for tickets or for vendors on this event is not authorized to do so.
