Our Winter Steam Gala is back by popular demand, kicking off the 2025 season, our 60th anniversary year!What to expect at the Winter Steam Gala? A collection of majestic steam locomotives operating a busy timetable. If you and your family love steam, this is the place to be! Ride behind as many engines as you can, visit The Engine House at Highley to break your day, and sample the finest real-ales in our pubs. Perfect for those young and old, experience the Severn Valley at its steamiest!

Timetable highlights:
✅Saturday - trains from 9.15am until 10.00pm, with 11 departures from each end of the line, including an evening special hauled by 1450 and 7714 double-heading.
✅Sunday - trains from 9.15am until 7.45pm, with nine departures from each end of the line.
✅All trains will work the full length of the line between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, including 1450 paired with the stunning GWR Toplight carriages.
On Sunday 5 January, we'll be hosting the largest gathering of representatives from heritage railways to mark the start of Railway 200.
The SVR gift-shops will be open all weekend and there will be plenty of warming refreshments on sale at our cafes and station kiosks.
