The Hudson Valley Plant Exchange will be hosting a Winter Sowing and Cold Stratification Workshop at Kingston Library on January 10, 2026 between 1-3pm.
Thanks to those of you who contributed to meet our fundraising goals so that we can make this event free for everyone!
We love, appreciate, and miss our community in these winter months. Since we want 2026 to be our best year ever, we decided to plan this event to stay connected and start planning ahead for our 2026 season!
At the event, we will be distributing "kits" of seeds, soil, trays and domes for winter sowing, and will offer tips on cold stratification and successful sowing for everyone! Bring a milk jug if you would like to try it out.
This is a free event and all are welcome. Free kits will be distributed to folks who want to try their luck at Winter sowing and ideally, share some of the bounty with the broader group at our spring plant swaps (first come first serve basis).
There will be enough seeds for everyone thanks to our generous contributors at Burpees and True Leaf Market!
