The winter solstice is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere, making it an ideal time to turn inward and use the practice of stillness to rest, reflect, and prepare for the coming of more light and longer days.
The solstice invites us to pause between one chapter and the next, and is ideal for reflection and intention-setting. On this long night, before the light slowly begins to grow again, you can feel a soft inner “reset.” Spiritually, it is a moment to slow down, listen in, and notice what your soul is ready to release and what it is ready to grow. As the light begins to regrow, we are gently nudged to think long term and take brave steps toward our intentions.
Join Katy Joe, ERYT-500, certified Yin Yoga Teacher and Sound Ceremony practitioner for this special winter solstice celebration. We'll honor the longest night of the year with a relaxing yin and restorative practice full of stillness, presence, and sound.
Students can expect to be guided and supported through guided meditation and journal prompts, yin postures, restorative poses, and an extended savasana while enjoying the healing vibrations of gongs, crystal bowls, Himalayan bowls, chimes + other healing sounds.
