The Winter Solstice leaves us with just under 10 hours of sunlight this year! In all of this darkness, it can be easy to forget that the first day of winter is truly a night of beginning.
Join Ijams naturalists for a night hike to experience the forest on the longest night of the year and celebrate the promise of longer days to come with hot chocolate and s'mores by a campfire with friends.
Ages: This program is designed for ages 10+
Accessibility: Participants can expect to travel a distance of up to 1.5 miles during the duration of the program over uneven surfaces that may include rocks, roots, and gravel. This program includes various stopping points.
Parking: Parking for this Ijams Education Course is free for all participants. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the course begins to obtain a free parking pass upon check-in. Refund Policy: No walk-ins will be accepted. Every participant must have a ticket. Ijams only awards full refunds for any cancellations up to 7 days before a program, or if Ijams cancels a program due to inclement weather. Refunds are not awarded for programs with fees of $5 or less for any reason. Tickets are non-transferable.
