Winter Solstice Sanctuary: Guided Movement and Writing at The Rest Spot

The Session

Step into the season with intention. Join Atlanta native, writer, and certified Mat Pilates instructor Amber Davis for a restorative Winter Solstice workshop designed to help you move, breathe, and reflect your way into deeper grounding.

This hybrid offering blends functional movement rooted in Pilates with guided writing prompts that invite clarity, creativity, and calm. Together, we will explore what your mind and body need in this moment, creating space to let go, make room, and gently call in what is next.

The Flow

Participants will flow through
• A gentle, all-levels Pilates-inspired flow, with intermittent, guided writing.
• Breath-led movement to soothe the nervous system.
• Guided writing prompts centered on rest, release, intention setting, and creative reflection.
• Optional group sharing to connect in community.
• An integration practice to bring movement and words together.

This workshop is an invitation to pause, recenter, and welcome the new season with presence. No previous Pilates or writing experience needed. Bring your mat, something to write with and on, and yourself as you are. Workout attire encouraged.

The Facilitator

Amber Davis is a certified Mat Pilates instructor, writer, and creative facilitator dedicated to helping people move toward grounding, clarity, and ease. After spending ten years in New York City, Amber returned home to Atlanta with a renewed appreciation for community, rest, and intention in movement. Her work blends functional Pilates, somatic awareness, and guided writing to create spaces where mind, body, and spirit reconnect.

Amber has led movement and writing workshops with brands including Ann Taylor, Brooklinen, Sakara, Mara Hoffman, and 3RD Ritual, and her broader practice reflects a commitment to community building and space-making.

Through her Atlanta-based practice, intotendto, she offers modalities that invite connection, reflection, and creative expansion.
