Join us inside the Temple walls for a winter tea party! As the longest night of the year envelops us and the quiet beauty of winter settles in, we gather to honor the Winter Solstice—a time of stillness, renewal, and the return of the light. This sacred moment marks the turning point, where darkness reaches its peak and the sun’s return begins to beckon the promise of new beginnings. Join us for an evening of quiet creativity, deep reflection, and a ceremony to welcome the rebirth of the light within and around us.In this gathering, we will:
-Sip 4 themed teas blended from scratch by Stephanie Layne of Thistle Bee Tea
-Taste 4 delicious bites paired with our tea made by Shana Lloyd of Sprig Dining
-Learn about the history and the practice of Winter Solstice & Yule led by Sarah Monroe
-Create and take your own craft to ring in the holiday season!
Our Menu (subject to change:)
Course 1: Bread Service with Orange Cranberry Sourdough Loaf & Cinnamon Nutmeg Butter
Tea: Evergreen Spice - Pine Needles, Juniper berries, orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, nettle + cinnamon stick
Course 2: Traditional Onion Pie (Tartes)
Tea: Comfort & Joy - Assam black tea, lapsang souchong, clove, orange peel, star anise, rose hips + orange slice
Course 3: Winter Greens with Apples, Walnuts & Maple Dressing
Tea: Yule Berry - Elderberry, cinnamon, ginger, astragalus, clove, star anise, sarsaparilla root
Course 4: Old Fashioned Fruit Cake with a Buttercream & Caramel Drizzle
Tea: Snow: Mint, Marshmallow, cocoa nibs, coconut flakes, Oat straw
All are welcome—no previous crafting experience required—just an open heart, a willingness to explore, and the desire to bask in the magick of the season.
Let us gather in ceremony, honoring the darkness and celebrating the light that will soon return, both in nature and in ourselves.

Supported pricing is available via the honor system in a very limited quantity for those in true need. This option is for folks who would not be able to attend the gathering with standard pricing. If supported pricing is needed, please reach out as soon as possible before these spaces are depleted.

PARKING: All guests are asked to park in Guest Parking located on Davis Avenue unless they have ADA needs. Please do not park in the main courtyard as this is reserved for tenants of the Davis-Linden Building. YOUR VEHICLE COULD BE TOWED IF YOU PARK IN THE COURTYARD WITHOUT EXPLICIT PERMISSION.
