As we arrive at the Winter Solstice, we cross the threshold into the longest night of the year — a moment that has always signaled a turning inward, a descent into the fertile dark where transformation takes root.
This year, the Solstice carries a deeper undertone.
Neptune has just stationed direct at the final degree of Pisces, completing its long retrograde through the waters of illusion, memory, and the subconscious. This is a rare moment of spiritual clarity — a washing away of the dreamstates, projections, and emotional fog we’ve been moving through. What rises now is truth. What dissolves now is anything built on illusion. What becomes available is a direct line into the intuitive heart of your own becoming.
Layered into this is the energy of the Wood Snake year — a cycle of shedding old skins, of moving inwards, of transformation that happens beneath the surface before it ever emerges into form. Snake teaches us to release what has grown tight, outdated, or too small, and to trust the intelligence of the body as it restructures itself from the inside out.
In this solstice ritual, we honor all three tides:
the celestial unraveling of Neptune,
the instinctual renewal of Snake,
and the ancient seasonal turning from darkness toward slowly returning light.
This Restorative Ceremony will be slow, intentional, and deeply inward. You will be guided through long-held shapes designed to support the body, soften the heart, quiet the mind, and anchor the nervous system so that transformation can take place without force. Each posture becomes its own temple — a place to release, to receive, and to realign your inner world.
What we will work with:
• Breath as clearing — releasing the mental fog and opening space for clarity
• Restorative shapes as portals — each posture aligned with shedding, renewal, or reclaiming
• Gentle somatic unwinding — softening the places where old identities have clung
• Intention-setting through the Snake archetype — an invitation to step into your next skin
• Despacho — an offering of prayer, gratitude, and release to align with the turning of the season
• Blue Lotus Tea — a heart-opening plant ally that softens the mind and expands awareness for deeper visioning
• A closing moment of stillness — welcoming back the first thread of returning light
This practice is not about striving, achieving, or pushing through.
It is about allowing.
Allowing the darkness to hold you.
Allowing what has been dissolved by Neptune’s waters to fall away.
Allowing the instinctive wisdom of Snake to guide the next shape of your becoming.
Allowing the Solstice to recalibrate your inner light.
You will leave this ceremony steadier, clearer, and more connected — quietly transformed from the inside out.
