The still point of the winter solstice and the point of light in the dark of the new moon combine this year. Dark and light offering us an opportunity to dream into the glimmering possibilities of rebirth after a year of letting go. This afternoon is an invitation to step out of the hubbub and turn within. To engage with the deep rest of the winter solstice darkness. To listen for the song of the rebirthing light of the new moon. Resting into the mystery and the possibilities in the year's midnight, letting ourselves be redreamed into the possibility of a fuller expression of our wholeness.
No experience necessary - no expectations, move as much or as little as feels good. This is an opportunity to be embodied and present to whatever is alive, to let it move you. Opening to the dreaming and expanding our capacity to deepen into body and being, to surrender into the vastness and the tinyness of being human and being held within the mystery.
We will begin with Ceremonial Cacao, who opens our hearts to ourselves and our deeper knowing.
Chakradance invites us into a liminal space of connection to the parts of us that speak through body and imagination. We will spiral in to the Heart - exploring the experience of deepening and dreaming at each level of being through movement, imagination and sound. It is an internal journey for the most part, a space for you to be where you are and do what is needed in each moment. We let our bodies take the lead and no one is watching so we can allow movement (or stillness) as it arises from within move out through us. We engage with the archetypal energies of the chakra system through our imaginations - dancing as or with the elements, sound, light and universe - an experience that is akin to a waking dream at times. We often feel woven in, connected and alive in new ways after this journey.
The soundbath is for integration. The geometry that the sounds carry clarifies the patterns that underlie the structure of body and being - leaving a sense of peace and balance in the fullness of being that solstice calls forth.
There are no requirements or rules - move as much or a little as you feel to - this is space for you to be and be held.
Bring sheepskin/mat/ blankets and other cosy things for the sound bath. Journal if you like to.
