Join Certified Yoga Teacher AnnMarie and Certified Meditation Coach Stef Bourke for a deeply nourishing Winter Solstice restorative yoga experience that turns on your release and relax mode, enhanced by the soothing vibrations of singing bowls and voice. As the longest night of the year, the Winter Solstice invites us to slow down, soften, and turn inward. It’s a sacred pause — a moment between the inhale and exhale of the seasons where we can reflect on the year behind us and plant seeds of intention for the light that will slowly return. This gentle Restorative practice draws on the healing energy of stillness. Supported by props, the body is invited into restful postures that calm the “fight, flight, freeze” response of the sympathetic nervous system and awaken the “rest, digest, heal” response of the parasympathetic system. The result is deep restoration and balance — body, mind, and spirit finding harmony in the quiet embrace of winter.
As we linger in longer-held, supported poses, we’ll use the energy of this Solstice to reflect, release, and renew. This is a time to listen deeply to the rhythm of your breath, the whisper of your intuition, and the soft hum of stillness within.
Why Add Sound? The vibrational frequencies of sound healing instruments such as crystal singing bowls move through the skin, tissues, and bones of the body, creating a full-body recalibration down to the cellular level. Sound gently harmonizes the body’s energy field, supporting emotional release and deep relaxation — helping us return to a natural state of resonance, peace, and inner light. As darkness gives way to light, this Solstice practice offers a sacred space to rest, restore, and remember your own inner radiance.
