This Winter Solstice Community Campout will be hosted with the support of Bikepacking Roots. This will also be a BIKEPACKING. com "Goodnight 2024 Overnighter".
We start at Big Shark West. We will utilize the Monarch Levee trail and many beautiful west St Louis County roads to take us to the Buelah Shelter at Greensfelder County Park. This shelter is 3 sided stone with a fireplace, many picnic tables, and outhouse within close proximity.
The route is completely paved and totals about 40 miles. route can be found here.

I decided on a paved route this year because I really wanted to go to Greensfelder. I felt being close to the city may be more inviting for those new to bikepacking and less of a commitment being close to the holiday.
