Escape into four days of books, relaxation, and a little winter magic at Bookdom Apothecary’s Second Annual Winter Reader’s Retreat!
Join us for three nights at a beautiful 8,200-square-foot mansion, where you can enjoy delicious meals, cozy reading spaces, fun activities, and the company of fellow book lovers. Whether you're coming with friends or hoping to make new ones, we have a little something for everyone.
The Stay
This year's retreat takes place in a spacious mansion featuring eight bedrooms, 7½ bathrooms, and plenty of comfortable spaces to read, relax, and socialize. We've made sure there are plenty of seating arrangements throughout the property so everyone can find a place to unwind.

Meals & Refreshments
A personal cook will prepare meals throughout the retreat.

Friday and Saturday
- Brunch at 10:00 AM

Coffee, tea, juice, soda, and a selection of sweet and salty snacks will be available throughout the retreat.
Please include any dietary restrictions when purchasing your ticket. Tickets close January 6, 2027, to allow us time to finalize the menu and accommodate dietary needs as best as possible.
Evening Activities | 6:30–8:30 PM
Every evening will feature a scheduled activity. Participation is optional, and guests are welcome to craft while listening to an audiobook or spend the evening reading quietly.

- Book Bedazzling: Add sparkle and rhinestones to a favorite book.
- Book Nook Decorating: Create a miniature book nook to display and enjoy.
- Bookmark Making: Design personalized bookmarks with embellishments and bookish details.
- Mask Decorating: Decorate your own mask.
Available Games
- Werewolf: A social deduction game of hidden roles, mystery, and strategy.
- Gin Rummy: A classic card game. Beginners are welcome, and we'll teach you how to play.
- Board Games: Choose from a variety of games to enjoy with fellow attendees.
- Romance vs. The World: A bookish twist on Cards Against Humanity, featuring outrageous combinations, questionable fictional romances, and plenty of laughter.

There are only 23 attendee spots available. We encourage you to reserve early, as room options are limited.

- Room 2: Queen Bed, 1 Triple Bunk
General admission room assignments will be handled by Bookdom. Guests are welcome to arrange bunk swaps with one another, provided the changes work with the available accommodations. If tickets are purchased together we'll do our best to bunk groups together.
Every attendee will receive a curated goody bag filled with exclusive Bookdom merchandise and bookish surprises. Ticket sales close January 6, 2027, to allow time to order goody bags and finalize meal planning.

- Yourself!
Bedding is provided. You do not need to bring pillows, sheets, or bed blankets. We recommend bringing a personal blanket for lounging in the common areas.
Important Dates & Schedule
- Thursday, February 25: Check-in begins at 8:30 AM
- Thrusday, Friday and Saturday: Brunch at 10:00 AM and dinner at 5:00 PM
- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday: Evening activities from 6:30–8:30 PM
- Daily: Outdoor quiet hours begin at 9:00 PM
- Sunday, February 28: Complimentary breakfast spread and checkout by 10:00 AM
- Wednesday, January 6: Final day to purchase tickets
Please respect the property's outdoor quiet hours to help us maintain a positive relationship with the neighbors.
Parking & Transportation
The property has driveway and garage parking, but spaces are limited. Please do not park in front of neighboring homes.
Attendees traveling from Cedar City and surrounding areas are encouraged to arrange drop-offs when possible to preserve parking for guests traveling from farther away. Guests driving separately but meeting friends at the retreat are encouraged to carpool from Bookdom Apothecary, where parking is available under 24-hour surveillance.
A Bookdom staff vehicle will be available for emergency transportation.
Age Requirements
This retreat is open to readers ages 16 and older. Some conversations and activities may lean toward adult topics. Parents and guardians should consider whether the retreat is appropriate for attendees under 18.
Event Agreement
All tickets are final sale and non-refundable.
If you are unable to attend, please notify Bookdom Apothecary as soon as possible so your spot may be offered to another guest.
For the health and safety of attendees, guests experiencing symptoms of illness are asked to stay home.
This retreat is open to attendees ages 16 and older. Parents and guardians should consider whether the event is appropriate for attendees under 18.
By attending this event, guests voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation. Bookdom Apothecary, its staff, hosts, and affiliates are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items, injuries, allergic reactions, or incidents occurring before, during, or after the event.
Bookdom Apothecary reserves the right to refuse service or remove any guest displaying disruptive, unsafe, inappropriate, or disrespectful behavior without refund.
By purchasing a ticket and/or attending this event, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these event terms and consent to the possible use of your likeness in photos or videos shared on Bookdom Apothecary social media and promotional materials.
