Exciting stuff. The date for the next installment of the Winter Night Series is out.The second event of this year's Winter Night Series will be from the The Rising Sun, Mossley, on Wednesday 20th November. Registration from 6:15pm, start 7pm.
Open to both runners and MTB/Gravel cyclists, participants have 2 hours to navigate their way around a series of 15 checkpoints in a bid to bag up to 300 points.
All checkpoints are accessible via public rights of way, though there may be some short hike-a-bike sections for cyclists.
£5.00 per person donation, towards maps and prizes.
Pizza and beer available in the pub afterwards.
Participants must wear suitable footwear & Hi-vis clothing and carry a map, waterproof map case, pen/pencil, compass, whistle, emergency clothing/equipment and a fully charged and working mobile phone and head-torch, full waterproof body cover and additional suitable warm clothing for the weather conditions.
Cyclists must also wear helmets and have fixed front and rear lights on a fully road legal bike.
