Hit the snowy trails together for a fun hike to Mills Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park!
About this Event

Enjoy a scenic winter hike in Glacier Gorge to Mills Lake. Hike past Alberta Falls and Loch Vale junction before making your final trek to the frozen Mills Lake. This 5-mile hike features about 800 feet of elevation gain and loss. Along the way, enjoy the winter scenery in a snow covered glacier gorge basin.

No prior snowshoe experience is required. Snowshoes or microspikes will be provided based on trail conditions. Snowshoes are best for fresh snow deeper than six inches, and microspikes are ideal for packed snow or icy terrain. Before setting out, instructors will demonstrate how to use the equipment and offer time to practice on level ground. This program is a perfect opportunity to discover the joy of winter exploration in Rocky Mountain National Park!
