We will ride from the chalet at the Monroe Rd parking lot of City Forest in Midland. If there is significant snow on the ground, please make sure your bike tires are around 3.8" or wider. For a very light covering or no snow, standard sized mountain bike tires are fine.
Note: Ray's Bike Shop has fat tire bike rentals available.
We typically stick together in a single group since we get fewer people in the winter months. However, this is a no drop group ride. All are welcome! There will be someone to stick with beginners, but faster riders who know the trails are welcome to take off on their own and meet us for social time afterward.
Things to bring:
-Your bike, water, a helmet
-LIGHTS! (This time of year, it's dark from the start of the ride. We recommend a handlebar and helmet light if possible.)
-Lawn chair & favorite beverage to enjoy around the firepit afterward (optional).
Amenities: There are two porta-potties at the Monroe Rd lot, one of which is big enough to change in. There is no running water.
