We are Wahine Weaving Words - a trio of poets who curate events in Pōneke that celebrate the wonderful world of words.
Nau mai haere mai! All poets welcome!
Join us as the seasons shift for a cosy evening of spoken word. As we near the years shortest night, we will serve up an evening full of nourishing word medicine including poetry, music and community.
A place to gather together as we await Matariki, as we honour what has past, and nestle into the season of gestation and dreaming.
Doors Open @ 7pm with local musicians weaving music throughout the evening.
There will be nourishing kai & refreshments available for purchase.
We are looking forward to returning to The Undercurrent Bookstore. Big thanks to Philip and Helena for hosting us - we will be gifting the proceeds of the night back to Undercurrent; venues like this are the beating heart of our city.
