Winter Diesel Day returns on Monday 29 December 2025 and we’re looking forward to a full day of diesel action care of the SVR home fleet, plus a couple of special visitors!We are delighted to announce that Class 37s 37418 and 37508 will be appearing at the event, with our thanks to LORAM UK and Steve Beniston.
Home fleet loco's planned to be in use (subject to availability):
- Class 17 'Clayton' D8568, making it's first runs of this year.
- Class 20 (at least one, number to be confirmed).
- Class 33 33108
- Class 46 46045
- Class 50 x 2. Expected to be 50033 plus one other.
- Class 52 Western D1015 'Western Champion'
- Class 101 and 108 DMUs
- 1450 & 7714 providing additional heat.
