About this Event
With the top 2% of soil quality in the world, coupled with a mild, maritime climate, the Skagit Valley hosts year-round production of crops that thrive in cooler temperatures. Discover the tools farmers use to not only extend the growing season, but drive harvests in months we would not generally anticipate, such as January and February.
On January 29th, join Genuine Skagit Valley as we tour two Skagit farms; Boldly Grown Farm and Hedlin’s Family Farm. Each farm holds a distinguished foothold in Skagit’s lauded diversified vegetable production. Guests will embark on the chartered tour at 1:00 pm from free public parking along the Mount Vernon riverwalk. The tour will conclude at 4:00 pm. Cost is $65 and includes transportation and tasting bites. The meal for the tour is crafted by The Skagit Table and prepared with Winter Crops of the Skagit Valley farm ingredients.
Space is limited and each tour has sold out – register early!
