Spend the afternoon outdoors, foraging, feasting, and celebrating the beginning of the yearCome celebrate Imbolc, the old Scottish New Year's Day outdoors with Anna of WanderWomen and Judith of Edinburgh Forage and Eat.
After a seasonal wild welcome drink and nibble, Judith will take you on a leisurely two hour foraging walk through the woods, grassland and dunes, down to the beach to learn about and forage around thirty species of edible plants, seaweeds, and fungi and to gather wild grasses and aromatic herbs to make our St Brigit crosses.
Anna of Wander Women will lead the group for the next ninety minutes in forest bathing, wild crafting, and intention setting for a meaningful St Bridgit's Day ritual . Traditional activities like dooking, fire leaping, and drumming/chanting/dancing are options to enhance the experience
Next, we will build a fire and Judith will prepare you an exciting Candlemass Feast of foraged flavours integrated into traditional Imbolc/St Bridgit's day dishes and served with a variety of beverages.
Please note:
My food is mostly vegetarian, but please inform me of dietary requirements at the time of booking.
The event is outdoors and will take place in almost any weather, so warm and dry clothing is essential.
