Winter Cat Shelter Workshop (Bring Your Own Tote: BYOT)
Saturday, November 7 | 11 AM–1 PM
Sarge’s Animal Rescue Foundation
Cold weather is coming, and community cats need a warm place to escape the elements! Join us at Sarge’s for a hands-on workshop where we’ll turn plastic storage totes into winter shelters for cats in need.
Bring a plastic storage tote WITH a lid if you can! Totes around 30 gallons work best for this project. We’ll share a link to a great option to make shopping easy. Sarge’s will provide the straw, insulation, and duct tape needed to turn your tote into a cozy outdoor shelter. We’ll also have a limited number of totes available, so you can still participate if you don’t have one to bring.
Once your shelter is built, you can take it home to help community cats in your neighborhood or leave it with Sarge’s, and we’ll distribute it to cats who need it.
Can’t make it to the workshop? Donations of plastic storage totes with lids are always welcome! Your donation can help us build more shelters and get them into the paws of cats who need a safe place to hunker down this winter.
No special skills required. Just bring a tote if you have one, and we’ll take care of the rest of the supplies!
Help us make winter a little warmer for cats in our community. ❤️
