Winter Greetings! Every year winter comes with a vivid reminder of our traditional Bangladeshi heritage that boasts an assortment of pithas and sweets – which used to be the winter staple foods back in those good old days!
Australia Bangladesh Association, which strives in upholding and nurturing our traditional Bangladeshi cultural heritage and values, is organizing a day-long event, Pitha Mela, on Saturday 1st August at Mulgrave Community Centre
Event details:
Date: 1st August (Saturday ) 2026
Time: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm
Venue: Mulgrave Community centre . 355 Wellington road,Mulgrave vic 3170
The event will consist of:
# Array of stalls including
· the finest collection of sweet/savoury pithas and various Bangladeshi cuisines representing rural/urban Bangladesh
· traditional Bangladeshi dresses, garments, boutiques and pieces of jewellery
# Cultural performances including songs, chorus, dances and poetry recitation and activities for adults and children
*** No entry fees ***
