ASD’s Winter Business Intensive is a free, 8-class course for beginning or expanding producers, aggregators, distributors, markets, or more working in agriculture.By the end of the complete course, you will have a business plan and will be eligible to apply for an Appalachia Regional Food Business Center Business Builder Subaward (BBS) to jump start your progress. You can attend the class virtually or in person.
Instructions for virtual attendance will be emailed to you prior to the class start date. All in-person classes will be held at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, 1 Partnership Circle, Abingdon, VA 24210. Specific room details will be emailed to you prior to the class start date.
ASD’s grant writer, Della McGuire, will give a crash course on grant writing to support your agribusiness. ASD’s Business Development Specialist, Kylea Cooper, explains how she and ASD can help with these loans, grants, BBS applications, now and in the future.
ASD’s Regional Food Business Center Manager, Santiago Figaredo, will be available to answer questions about Business Builder Subawards.
