About this Event
Our amazing Delta is more than just rivers and flooded fields. Wetlands, oak riparian forests, and expansive grasslands interconnect to form an incredible mosaic of unique habitats found nowhere else in the world! This is why the Central Valley of California, and particularly the Delta, consistently records some of the greatest number of wintering birds for its latitude. The Friends of Stone Lakes NWR is proud to host noted ornithologist, local birder, and gifted speaker, David Yee, who will be discussing some of the birds that make up this unique phenomenon.
This event is free for Members of the Friends of Stone Lakes NWR and residents of the Glenbrooke Community!
If you are not a member or resident, but would like to attend, donations of $5 or more are gratefully accepted to support our work at the Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge.
