Join us for a gentle stroll along the river ness towards the hydro ness, and up along a short stretch of the canal. We'll look out for lots of different birds and other wildlife, and take plenty of stops. The paths are mainly wide and flat tarmac paths, with slope alternatives to any stair sections.

We'll have binoculars and bird guides to lend out but they're not essential.

All ages, genders and levels of experience welcome. Come with a pal or alone - lots of people come by themselves and it's a great way to meet like-minded folk.

Following the walk, everyone is welcome to stay for tea and cake at the botanics cafe.

The event is free but please reserve your space so we know you're coming.

Location

We'll meet at the botanic gardens, where there is lots of parking, toilets, and an option to get a hot drink before the walk. Exact location will be sent ahead of the event. The walk is just under 2km, and there are a few benches along the way.
