Bundle up and join Wisconsin Metro Audubon Society bird guides for a leisurely 1.5- to 2-mile walk through the historic cemetery and arboretum this January.
As we stroll, we’ll search for hardy winter residents like woodpeckers, chickadees and vibrant cardinals. Along the way, we’ll appreciate the serene atmosphere of snow-draped trees and historic gravestones, creating a picturesque winter scenem(let's hope there's snow then!).
This walk is perfect for all skill levels—whether you're an avid birder or simply enjoy a quiet winter walk in nature. Bring binoculars if you have them, dress warmly and let’s explore the winter wonderland together!
IMPORTANT INFO
Dress for the weather, wearing layers and wam covering for your hands, feet and head.
If we need to cancel this tour for safety (icy conditions, for example), we will make every effort to reschedule it.
Please arrive about 10 minutes before your tour. Meet your guide at Halls of History (next to the main office inside the Lincoln Avenue entrance). You do not need to bring or show a copy of your ticket.
Parking is free and available throughout the cemetery and there is ample parking around the chapel. Please don't park in front of the office as those spots are reserved for funerals and cemetery business.
