Hello Friend!
You're here. You've taken ASL 1 but you're not done. There's much more to learn! LAAD is excited to provide ASL 2 Classes here in Lafayette!
These classes are designed for those who have taken basic ASL courses. In ASL 2, you will learn the foundation and syntaxes of the ASL grammar, classifiers, and Deaf culture.
A great class for those who are committed in their ASL journey and becoming skilled in ASL, and also great for parents of deaf children who have basic skills, and for those who want a refresher.
Additionally, ASL enhances cognitive skills, as mastering a new language stimulates brain function. Learning ASL promotes cultural understanding, breaking down barriers, and creating a more inclusive society. Whether for personal growth, professional development, or fostering connections, acquiring ASL is a valuable skill that enriches lives and contributes to a more inclusive society.
WHEN?
Classes will start on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM, for 8 weeks on Tuesdays with the final class on March 4, 2025.
WHERE?
Classes will be held at our Clubhouse.
