About this Event
When we talk about wine, we often split styles into two categories - Old World and New World. However, many history and wine scholars have started to point out that wine production dates back to 6000 BC, well before the modern production of wine in France and Italy. Before Ancient Greece spread wine knowledge west, the Phoenicians, in modern day Lebanon, were producing wine and trading it across their domaine.
Join us for a casual seated wine class where we will discuss the ancient history of of wine, and taste some wines produced in the ancient wine regions to the east with Wine Director, Erin Dudley, at the Planet Wine!
Included with your ticket:
- Seated wine class with with Wine Director, Erin Dudley
- Tasting of six fine wines from ancient wine regions
- Small serving of artisanal cheese and bread to accompany your tasting
- Discounts on bottle purchases of all wines tasted
