Wine Tasting with i Cacciagalli - Meet the Makers

On the west coast of Italy, at the foot of the extinct Roccamonfina volcano in northern Campania, lies I Cacciagalli, a small, family-run estate encompassing 42 hectares of farmland. Twelve hectares are dedicated to grape growing, while the remaining land hosts hazelnut groves, olive trees, and seasonal crops. An additional 50 hectares of surrounding woodland help sustain a balanced ecosystem that plays a key role in the estate’s unique approach to winemaking.

Set between the sea, volcanoes, and mountains, this terroir is unlike any other in Italy and is reflected in the remarkable diversity of grapes cultivated here. Founded by agronomist Diana Iannaccone and her husband, former archaeologist turned winemaker Mario Basco, the estate focuses on native Campanian varieties such as Fiano, Falanghina, Aglianico, Piedirosso, and Pallagrello Nero, all vinified with minimal intervention.
