Wine Meets Art: Paint Your Own Ceramic Tapas Board, with Tasting
About this Event
Spend a Sunday afternoon doing something a little different: part wine tasting, part painting. 🍷🎨
First, a guided tasting of 3 wines (2 whites, 1 red), hosted by Vanya from Wine with Vanya. You'll hear about simple, practical ways to taste wine properly, using all your senses: what to look for, what to smell, how to actually taste. She calls this mindful tasting.
Once all your senses are awake from the tasting, it's time to get creative. Local ceramic artist Nadieh Denise of Knappe Koppen will guide you through painting your own pre-made cheese or tapas board: think grapes, wine glasses, bottles, cheese, whatever wine-themed design you like. No art experience needed, no talent required.
A little music in the background, some snacks, wine or soft drinks. That's our idea of a relaxed afternoon.
Your piece needs to go in the kiln after painting, so you'll either pick it up later, or we'll make sure it reaches you safely.
