Join us for an evening exploring Italian wine styles through a unique side-by-side tasting experience.

We'll taste wines from Italy alongside Canadian wines inspired by the same grape varieties and winemaking traditions, comparing the original wines made in Italy with those crafted locally from Canadian soil. Discover how climate and terroir shape wines made in a similar style.

At least 6 wines will be poured throughout the evening, giving you plenty of opportunities to compare, contrast, and uncover your favorites. Charcuterie snacks will be included for each guest.

Our sessions are all about a slowed down approach to exploring and enjoying wine. Beginners and curious minds welcome.

We will break down those fancy wine words and develop your palate. Let’s discover fun facts and stories of wine growing and making while we sip away.

Organizer Bio:

Phoebe So is the founder of Wine Curiously, a boutique company focused on offering wine events and workshops with the goal of reimagining wine and bringing people together. 

She highly values the effort devoted to winemaking and farming and has enjoyed her time working on vineyards in Italy, Slovenia and Vancouver Island. She believes in an open minded and curious approach, no matter how little or how much experience one may have with wine. Her events skip the rigid rules to focus on real stories, honest craft, and the simple joy of sharing a glass. She has 2 harvest seasons under her belt, studied with George Brown College and completed her WSET Level 3 program.
