Calling all emerging leaders, city builders, policy thinkers, community organizers, and people who care about the future of the GTHA.
Policy Jam is a fun, creative civic space to connect, share ideas, and shape action on the issues that matter most in the 2026 municipal election.
This first edition focuses on housing, transit, affordability, economic opportunity, and the future of the region. Through short provocations, open mic reflections, and a live spoken word response, participants will surface the priorities they want candidates to hear.
This is not a traditional panel or lecture. It is a room built for participation. Come ready to listen, talk, react, challenge, and add your voice.
Within 14 days, CivicAction will synthesize the discussion into a public civic agenda and share it with leading municipal candidates and campaigns across the GTHA, inviting written responses. The goal is simple: turn the energy and ideas in the room into something candidates, partners, and civic leaders can respond to.
This event is for you if you are:

• An emerging leader interested in public policy, civic action, or the 2026 election
• A young professional, student, organizer, entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, advocate, artist, or community builder
• Someone with lived experience or practical ideas on housing, transit, affordability, work, opportunity, or belonging
• Someone who wants politics to feel more accessible, creative, and connected to real people

Policy Jam is a recurring civic engagement series from CivicAction's Emerging Leaders Network. Each edition takes on a public issue, brings people together in a more creative format, and produces a civic output that moves beyond the room.
